History of the Nike Air Force 1:
It all started in 1982, when designer Bruce Kilgore created the first version of the Nike Air Force 1. The shoe was named after the aircraft of the President of the United States, and that fact alone promised a lot. The sneaker turned out to be revolutionary for the basketball community: it was the first Nike basketball shoe to feature “AIR” technology, along with a new type of sole with so-called pivot points for better stability on the court.
From the courts it gradually made its way onto the feet of “ordinary mortals” and, without much marketing, became the best-selling sports shoe in the world at the time. Wearing Air Force 1s was simply “cool”. To date, more than 1,000 different colourways have been released, including several special editions, with the highest price reaching an incredible 8,000 US dollars.
If you are looking for lifestyle sneakers with a strong brand, a secure fit and a look that works with any outfit, the Nike Air Force 1 is a safe bet.
